Ben's 2 month check-up

Today we took Ben in for his 2 month check-up. He had to get 3 shots and Zack thought it was the coolest thing ever! Nice brother huh?

Anyway, I thought I'd post his stats so I have a record of them somewhere

What a perfect and beautiful day it was! We had a good majority of our family and most of our best friends there. It couldn't have been more perfect! Trent gave an beautiful blessing to Ben. It seemed like such a bumpy road to finally get Ben into this world and boy and am I glad that he is finally here. It is amazing how much you can love a baby, Ben has only been a part of our lives for two short months now and yet I couldn't imagine life without him now.
I like to refer to Ben as my little angel baby. He has such a mellow temperament. He's completely happy sitting in his bouncy seat watching me work or Zack play. But then as soon as someone gives him attention a smile follows almost instantly. One of my favorite things that he does lately is he'll start talking when he's happy but every once in awhile the sound of his own voice scares him. It's cute and gives me a good laugh every time.
He is definitely an angel when it comes to sleeping too. He goes to bed around 8:00 every night and sleeps straight through until around 5:00 in the morning. Then he wakes up, eats, and falls right back to sleep with no troubles. Then he'll sleep until 8:00am. A dream baby right? I know, I'm so lucky! I moved him into his own room this week because I figure there's no reason to have him sleeping next to me if he never wakes up anyway. This way he'll sleep better in the morning instead of stirring and grumbling while Trent get's ready for work.
The blessing was beautiful and such a special experience. I'm so glad to be able to raise Ben in the church that I believe so firmly in. I couldn't imagine not knowing I'd be sealed to my awesome kiddos and husband for forever! I have had so many days where I think life can't get any better and somehow it always does. Ben's blessing was definitely one of those days. Our house was jam packed with people we love all in honor of this precious baby I would give the world to. Nope, it doesn't get any better than that!
I got my new camera the day before this so as you can imagine we took HUNDREDS of pictures. So here is my picture narrative of the party...

Let the adventures begin....

After years of dreaming my sweet husband bought me my first super awesome camera! I got it this weekend and have had butterflies in my stomach ever since! :) One day I'd love to move into the world of photography but I have MUCH to learn. So to all of my fellow blog readers that know or have an eye for the art of photography don't judge me while I am in the learning process! :) I am so overwhelmed by everything there is to learn and wish I could just know it all right NOW! In the mean time I'm lovin' the quality and beautiful colors in the pics I take with my new camera. Hip hip hooray for awesome pictures!
