Sick Little Benny...

Benj has the flu or something and the only reason I'm blogging about it is because it has reminded me how sweet and mellow this little guy truly is. That little detail has been easily forgotten in the last couple months of toddlerhood because he gets into things SO MUCH! He's got a "catch me if you can" personality and is always looking for the next "illegal" thing to get into. He sure keeps me on my toes!Anyway, last night I was getting into bed and decided to go check on the kids. When I went in Ben's room I was surprised to see him standing up in his crib at what for him was the middle of the night! In a desperate and pathetic little voice he just cried "MAMA!" like I had just saved him. (That alone melted my heart because although he's had the ability to say my name for months now he never calls me by name and if he wants to get my attention he usually says dada, little stinker!) I soon realized he had thrown up all over in his crib. I cleaned him and his crib all up without a single tear from him. It makes me wonder how long he would have waited around in his crib without crying for me? That's just Ben though. Yes he has his cry baby moments when he's frustrated but if he's truly hurt or sad he does his very best not to cry. On Sunday he fell head first off the couch and didn't even cry, he's such a tough little munchkin!Zack has been a little sweetie too. Tucked under that fuzzy blanket his aunt Alana made him is Zack's bear. The minute Zack found out Ben was sick he ran and grabbed his bear then gave it to Ben "to make him feel better." He camped out on this chair with Ben for a good 20 minutes this morning to keep him company and make him happy. What an awesome older brother huh?

For reals?

This was our family dinner last Sunday...Good thing we're getting together regularly so the cousins can "play" together!

Tricked ya!

Ever have those days when your sweet loving little child suddenly and unexpectedly turns into a ravaging monster? That was us today.
Zack was in a crazy bad mood and super tired! He hasn't been taking naps for a couple months now but we decided he HAD to take a nap if we were going to make it through the day.

I expected a big battle, ranting and raving like he had spent most of the morning doing. However, he just calmly came upstairs with me, we read stories and then he said we forgot to brush his teeth and say prayers. That's when I realized it, he thought he was going to bed for the NIGHT! I didn't correct him :) Hopefully he is back to his normal self when he wakes up!

9 Years ago today...

9 years ago today I told Trent I loved him for the first time, we had our first kiss, and unofficially officially started dating (It's complicated when you're only 17!)
We celebrate our "dating" anniversary every year because well
1. Our marriage anniversary is smack in the middle of Christmas and New Years and there is ALWAYS something happening that day. (This year we spent it sleeping on the floor in my parents front room, wahoo! Paris was our real celebration for our 5 year anniversary anyway!)
2. Because, hey, if we hadn't fallen in love we never would have gotten married right!? So in some ways this anniversary is even more special to me!
Here's to the 9 best years of my life! Like every little girl I had dreams of finding my perfect man and falling in love. However, I had NO IDEA what that really meant. I still feel like I am continuously surprised at how much deeper my love for him grows. He may not be perfect but he is perfect for me!
Although I have massive amounts of cheesiness running through my mind I'll spare you all the details and just end with, I really really really love him! :)

See that? It's my awesome husband building me a new computer! :)

My computer hates me!

I have so much to blog about...Zack's Birthday, took the kids in for their check-ups and want to document their latest stats, our fun St. Patrick's day. But my computer has decided it doesn't like it when I work on pictures. Sure it worked great for the last hour while I worked on something extraordinarily boring...updating our budget. But the second I move onto something I enjoy, editing and organizing pictures of my kids, it refuses to work. Whenever I open any photo editing/sorting program my computer CRASHES!
Good news, Trent ordered all the parts for a new computer yesterday, bad news, it'll take a week for them to get here plus he has to put it together. What will I do during nap-times!?
So remember this, against all my morals and beliefs, I am doing a post with NO pictures!!
(Give me a day, I'm sure I'll break down and work on Trent's laptop even though his screen is tiny and the monitor isn't calibrated, ugh!)
