FYI

So lots of my friends have been asking me lately about digital scrapbooking. I decided to add a bunch of my favorite links to get cute and free stuff to download as get you started scrapbooking. Some of these links I like a lot better than others but all of them have lots of free stuff so they are all cool to check out. I hope this helps!

I am back!

Life has been SOOO busy for the last little while! I've been terrible at keeping up on my blog and there are so many interesting things to tell! First of all Zack is learning to walk! He can take 5-10 steps now before he falls down. It is so cute too because when he falls down he just laughs like it is a cool game or something.
He has also learned all kinds of new tricks. I got them all on video but I've been having issue with the format of my videos. We finally bought software to convert the movies and it is messing up my computer. GRRRRRR! So someday I'll post those videos if we ever get that software working. Anyway, Zack's tricks are: waving hi & bye, showing you where his head, mouth, and tummy are, putting his hands way up in the air whenever we say "yahoo!", and giving "head butt" kisses (instead of kissing you he hits his forhead against yours, it's pretty cute!). He is so much fun right now, he is learning all kinds of new tricks and he is always wanting to play. I just love this age for babies!
As for Trent and I there isn't a whole lot going on that is new. We are just sticking with the plan of San Jose, California this summer and Trent graduating in December. Yay!

Isn't he handsome?

This is a cute little Sunday outfit that I actually got a year ago at my baby shower and it finally fits him. Isn't it so cute? He looks so handsome all dressed up in his nice Sunday clothes! Just for an update...Zack's latest trick is he can stand all by himself for about 3 seconds. It is rare that he is brave enough to try it but when he does he falls flat on his butt after! I'm sure he'll catch on soon enough though!

Lots of things have happened since the last time I posted. Let's see...Zack learned how to throw a ball! It is one of his favorite games. He also says "mama"! He climbs up on all the furniture now and walks around where ever he possibly can...as long as he has something to hold onto.
Anther thing is that his uncle Richie left to Iraq again. He won't be back for another 18 months so Zack will be a totally different boy when he finally gets to see his uncle again. :(
Trent started another semester of school. It was so nice to have him around for the break! But the good news is that Trent figured out his schedule so that he will be able to graduate in DECEMBER! Yep, one year of school left and he'll officially be graduated with his masters. It suddenly seems so close, it felt like he'd never be done. We are so excited!
We also got new family pictures taken since those last ones really didn't turn out. We really wanted a nice family picture because with Richie being and Iraq and Trisha and Wes moving to California this is the last time we'll all be together for at least a couple years. Sad huh?
Anyway, that is the latest for us!

Family Pictures...they didn't turn out that great.

We wanted to get professional pics of our family taken because my brother is leaving to Iraq and my sister and her husband are moving California. We knew this would be the last time we'd all be together for a long time. We had a hard time figuring out who would take the pics so we decided to use the nice camera my sister in law got for Christmas and have my aunt take them. We took them in a church which was a big mistake because the lighting is terrible. But at least we are all together! So here's my whole fam for ya to see!

Zackie's First Christmas

Zack was such a cutie on Christmas! He woke up at 5:30 in the morning which he hardly ever does. I decided it was because he knew it was Christmas and he was excited to get out and open his presents! I thought for sure he'd mostly be fascinated with the wrapping paper and bows because I remember my nephews being that way. But he didn't care about the wrapping paper (which he usually LOVES crumbling paper!) and LOVED his toys. We got him a little drum set and he played with that most of Christmas morning. I haven't taken a picture of him with it yet but when I do I'll post it. He was really good all day. We were running all over the place to visit all the families and make time for everyone and he seemed to love all of it. He is such a good little baby! He also got a little scooter from his grandma and grandpa Nelson that he really has fun with. He is such a cutie! We are so glad we had a little baby to celebrate Christmas with this year!

My new hobby

So the latest thing I've been working on is learning to do digital cards and digital scrap booking. I am having lots of fun with it! I think I'll actually keep up with my scrap booking now because it is SOOO much easier to do it digitally. Way cleaner...if you need something you don't have you can just download it rather than run to the store. It is practically free besides the printing and it is MUCH more fun! Anyway, so I'm excited about that!

As you can see I made lots of different Christmas cards for my parents with the same picture. I was just playing around trying to find something fun for them to use.
As for the fam...Trent finishes his finals at the end of this week. I can't wait!! Zack is being a cutie as always. He walks in circles around the coffee table or whatever he can find to hold onto while he stands. He jabbers all day long and is just so precious! We are so lucky to have him!
