I love my husband!

Little did you all know but Trent has many hidden talents! Way back in the day he was really into photography and bought an awesome camera for himself. The only drawback is it's film. Yes, I said FILM! :) I really wanted some cute pics of Zack (and the baby when he comes) for our Christmas card this year and Trent being the awesome husband he is offered to take them for me. They turned out AWESOME huh? (we did have quite a hard time tracking down the good film he wanted...apparently it's out of date now!)

Prego News

I officially have less than a month until the baby comes! Yahoo!
Can you believe how fast time has flown? I am 35 weeks pregnant now and the C-section is scheduled for December 14th. I went to the Dr. today and as always the baby's measuring very large. He has measured big for his age from day 1...not really surprising given that Zack was such a huge baby! (10 lbs 14oz, yikes!) She made a "guess" on what he weighs right now and thinks he's already close to 8 pounds!! AHHH, I still have 3 1/2 weeks to go! We actually have to get an ultra sound in a couple weeks to make sure he's not getting so big that he outgrows the placenta (who knew that could happen!?)
I am SO excited for this little guy to come! I am totally nesting, we've already got our Christmas decorations up and I'm 95% done with my Christmas shopping (I should be since I started in AUGUST!) The nursery is completely ready, clothes are washed, diapers are bought, bags are packed...really all we need now is a baby!
I was going to post a picture of me with my big belly...but after Trent took it I just couldn't bring myself to post it. I just plain don't look cute when I'm pregnant...so instead I'll post some of the cute pics we've taken of Zack recently.
We went to the fire station with my sister and her kids and Zack was terrified the whole time but then spent the next week talking about it nonstop so I guess it wasn't too scary for him after all!

Halloween Fun

I swear holidays get more and more fun the older Zack gets! We had so much fun celebrating Halloween this year!
We started on Friday night by carving our pumpkins. Zack didn't want to touch the "yucky pumpkin guts" but he had fun dishing them out with a spoon. Trent loves pumkin seeds so he sorted them all out and put some seasonings on and cooked them up. They were so yummy he got sick from eating too many! hehe!
I thought our pumpkins turned out pretty cute!
On Halloween morning Zack and I went trick-or-treating at the model homes in our neighborhood with our good friends Danielle and Ainsley. It was fun to look through all the homes and the kids loved getting candy of course!
They also had a fun little hay maze that the kids had fun running through.
I think I let Zack eat too much of his morning trick-or-treating candy though because he REFUSED to take a nap. We have a rule that even if he won't sleep he still has to have "rest time" on his bed during naptime....however 99.9% of the time he falls asleep after about 20 minutes of fighting it. However, he istayed on his bed for TWO hours and just played but never fell asleep! We developed a new rule...no candy before naptime! :)
After "naptime" we went to Grammy's (my grandma's) house for a Halloween party. Zack just ADORES my aunts and Grammy! He always acts totally shy around them for the first little while but then spends a week afterward talking about them and begging to go to their houses and play with the cool toys.
This is what happened on our drive home around 7:00He wouldn't even wake up when we took him out of the car. We debated for awhile if we should just put him to bed for the night and skip trick-or-treating but he ended up waking up as we were taking his shoes off.
Then our friends came over and we took the kids trick-or-treating for awhile...put the kids to bed and watched a movie together.
To finish up the festivities I made pumpkin pancakes on Sunday morning. I got the recipe from my friends cooking blog: ediblehappiness.blogspot.com they were SO yummy! If you're ever looking for some delicious and healthy recipes you should definitely check out her blog! Well, that was our Halloween, we had tons of fun!

Halloween Parade!

My dad invited us out to his school to do the Halloween parade with him. I think it was just so he could hold his grandkids and draw the attention to them so he wouldn't feel stupid walking through the parade. Hehe, we were happy to help him! The kids were a little over whelmed, Zack had a death grip on my hand the whole time but finally loosed up at the end. I was glad to have something fun to do to get into the Halloween spirit! It was way fun to see all the elementary kid's costumes too, I forgot how excited Halloween is for kids that age! Power Ranger BradleyBuzz Light Year ConnorBumble Bee HalleyZack the Builder (he was very nervous about all the kids/chaos as you can see!)My dad put this spider on his back for his costume, it was so funny to see all the students freak out about it! What a funny idea.
Since I was getting Zack dressed up this morning anyway I figured I take some pics of him in his "builder" costume. Whoever knows Zack knows he is OBSESSED with tools right now so this was the perfect costume for him. He looks like such a cutie in it too! :) (Thanks Grandma Nelson for telling us about it and picking it up for us!)

Our Early Anniversary

This year we decided to celebrate our anniversary early since we'll have a 2 week old baby when our actual anniversary comes along. My dad was awesome and let us take advantage of his membership at East Canyon Resort and stay a few nights a beautiful condo/cabin they have there. It was SO much fun! We have recently become addicted to Lost so we watched a lot of those episodes and spent a day hanging out together in Park City and going for walks in the beautiful mountains. It was SO nice to just spend time together and be able to SLEEP IN! Ahhhhhh
Thanks a ton to both of our parents who helped watch Zack while we were gone! Sometimes it's nice to get away because it reminds me how much I love that kid!

Fall is officially here!

Zack had a blast helping his grandpa "clean up" leaves the other day. It was more like Grandpa raked them all up and Zack threw them all over again....then they repeated the process. But Zack had a blast and I'm pretty sure his Grandpa enjoyed it too!
